Welcome to diabetesinhospitals.org
Evidence is growing of the tremendous benefits of glucose control and carefully managed inpatient care for people with diabetes.
The Minnesota Diabetes Steering Committee formed the Diabetes in Hospitals Action Group in 2007 to develop a vision, identify opportunities and begin to communicate statewide initiatives. The Action Group is building on three years of providing successful professional programs, Quality Diabetes Care in the Hospital, attended by 38 area hospitals. Numerous documentation tools have been shared, needs assessments have been compiled, and a recording of the 2006 program produced.
